Let’s Talk People

This section is all about the people who have been instrumental in my life. Everyone from coaches to friends and family members and even some athletes that I have coached along the way. It is my way of paying tribute to those I value so deeply and thanking them for what they have been and continue to be for me. Not all of these relationships have been easy throughout the course of my life; nevertheless, these are the people that always show up. These are the people I am talking about when I speak about meaningful relationships that fill my cup.

This section is more for me than anyone. Being able to reflect on these relationships have helped open me up as a person. Every single one of these people have gone through something with me, have held my hand, lifted me up and never asked for anything in return. They are my crew, my cheerleaders, my biggest supporters and sometimes my toughest critics. They challenge me to be better, they push me past what I think my limits are and are there to catch me if I happen to fall or stumble. You are my people. You are the ones I dedicate this entire project to. I love you all so deeply and am more appreciative of you than I could ever even put into words, but you know me. I am definitely going to try.

Antoinette

From someone I looked up to as a little girl, to the person I could depend on during the toughest year of my life, Antoinette was always there. She was a light in complete darkness and everything I needed.

Devin

Devin was a second big brother to me. And when he lost his life in April of 2006, during my junior year of high school, my world was turned upside down. But, amongst awful tragedy came some the most valuable lessons.
